Coaching For Business Success – Because It’s More Than Money At Stake!
Coaching For Business Success is needed more today than at any other time in the world history of doing business.
If you’ve been running a business for any amount of time, you know how important it is to understand how to run the business and not just do the business.
Most people who fail in business don’t fail because they don’t know how to do their business, they fail because they don’t know how to do the business of doing their business.
Why They Fail
Let’s get one statistic out of the way, right away. Most businesses fail within the first eight years!
Moreover, even worse news, your chances of making it past the first 2 or 3 years are slim.
So, you would think Coaching For Business Success would be at the top of the list for anyone who’s starting or now running a business. However, it’s Not.
Well, because when people are good at their profession, e.g. they are a good plumber, then they think they know the business of plumbing when in fact they only know how to be a good plumber. They may know nothing about running a plumbing business.
They confuse being good at their business, e.g., being a good plumber, with being good at doing the business of plumbing. And the better plumber they are, the more convinced they are.
You can be the best plumber, or dentist, in town and still fail miserably at running your plumbing or dental business.
Because knowing how to be a plumber, dentist, salesperson, or whatever, is a specialized field. As is running a business – only it’s a different specialized field.
And, because the hypnotic lure of owning and running your own business is so strong, most people will start a business blind to the dreaded facts of failure.
Being Good Makes You Fail
So I can almost guarantee that the better you are at doing your business, the quicker you will fail.
Here’s why; You get the idea to start your own business, perhaps getting some help from a government-funded business development group.
You’re highly motivated, and you work hard and long at getting business and finally start to get busy doing your specialty, e.g., plumbing.
As a matter of fact, you get so busy you don’t have enough time to continue looking for new business. But that’s good, right? Wrong!
Suddenly the market changes, it always does, now you’re not so busy. Perhaps you’re not even covering the overhead. What happened you wonder?
Quickly you get back chasing business, you get busy again, you stop prospecting for new business, no time, the market changes, again business drops off, and the cycle repeats over and over.
Such is the world of business for most small business people who think they know how to run their own business.
Coaching For Business Success
Highly paid athletes have coaches so why don’t small business owners?
Like athletic coaching, Coaching For Business Success is about making you aware of what you’ll need to be successful.
It’s about putting the power of knowledge and information quickly into your hands so that you can succeed on your own. And therefore stopping the roller coaster ride most small business owners continuously go through.
You and your business are different, so a cookie-cutter approach to business will only take you so far. You need to know absolutely what will work best for you, in your location.
Also, it’s essential to understand how people think, what makes them buy, what makes them buy from the people they buy from and much more.
There are many books on the subject, some are good, and some are not. Trial and error can be time and money consuming. Your peers may tell you what they do that’s successful, but probably not.
So, go it alone and chance failure or hire a Success Business Coach and be successful – seems like a no-brainer to me.
