Four Types Of Resolutions And One Way To Achieve Yours Easier
There are 4 main types of resolutions that people make, and the one that’s right for you will depend on which one has the deepest emotional connection to you.
Why do I say it depends on which one has the deepest emotional connection to you?
Because you may be like many people who struggle with all four, but due to something that happened in your life, known in NLP as “Anchoring”, you will have deeper emotional feelings about not being in control over one in particular.
The Main 4 Resolutions
First, let me list the 4 main resolutions and you’ll see what I mean. As you read through the list just notice which one has a closer connection or more meaning to you.
And if it’s a really big one you’ll get some sort of feeling, thought or picture that’s stronger than when reading the others.
So here are the main 4 resolutions:
- Self Improvement Related Resolutions
- Weight-Related Resolutions
- Money Related Resolutions
- Relationship Related Resolutions
Now let me ask you, did you have to read the list to know in which area you would be making a resolution in? Probably not.
And if you didn’t have an emotional connection to any of the main 4 resolutions it could simply be because you need to be more specific in your thought process.
Being Specific About Resolutions
Being specific about resolutions helps in 2 ways: 1 it brings more clarity in what you desire, 2 when you’re specific about what you need to do when you need to do it by, and what you have to do to achieve it, then it becomes more real and doable.
Here’s an example I’ve used for over 30 years to explain in the everyday world that it works.
The next time you go grocery shopping don’t bother making a list, just go to the grocery store and pick up the things you know you need.
Then, when you get home notice whether you got everything you needed or not.
My money is on the not …
Then the next time you go to the grocery store definitely take a list of what you need. And again, when you get home notice if you got everything you needed (subject to the store having it in stock).
Now, I’ll wager that you got even more than was on the list.
You Can Make Achieving Resolutions Easier
25% of all resolutions are broken in the first week.
Well, that’s a good question. But if you try to answer it without really knowing the true answer for you, then you may be one of those people who fail to achieve their resolutions.
You can make achieving your resolutions easier, as a matter of fact, you can make everything you do easier. Here’s how: Learn how your brain works and stop fighting it.
Every person in the world is not the same. One size does not fit all, and one way of achieving does not work for everyone.
Try This Resolution
If you accomplish this one resolution it will help you achieve all your other resolutions a lot easier.
Resolve to understand yourself at a deeper more gratifying level.
It doesn’t take a lot of effort, but it will take some changes to your thought process. And the results will absolutely be worth it.
And please don’t use the ‘I’m too old’ excuse on your self. You’re never too old to feel good about who and what you are.
And I shouldn’t have to tell you the best way to do this is through our NLP Training Online. If you’ve been checking around I’m sure you know.
It’s the start that stops most people, don’t be like most people.
