Do You Want To Know The Most Obvious Way To Gain Confidence And Prove Your Worth?
If you’re like a lot of people these days you need to gain confidence. Why? Because the confidence level you have in your abilities and your future has taken a serious downgrading.
I mean, let’s face it, the world is changing at a meteoric pace, and causing global disasters.
And yet there are a chosen few who are not affected by all this change. So why are those chosen few different?
How is it that they seem unbothered by the global change? And not only unbothered by it, they gain confidence and worth from it.
Are You A Misfit?
According to Eric Hoffer in his book “The Ordeal Of Change”, a population subjected to drastic change is a population of misfits. They are unbalanced, explosive and hungry for action.
And action, Hoffer says, is the most obvious way by which to gain confidence and prove your worth. It is also a reaction against loss of balance.
So drastic change is one of the agencies which helps you release your energies. But certain conditions have to be present if the shock of change is to turn you into a person of action.
And those conditions are:
You must have an abundance of opportunities
You must have a tradition of self-reliance
Given these conditions when you are faced with a drastic change you will plunge into an orgy of action. So says Hoffer.
If misfits don’t have the right conditions in which to gain confidence and prove their worth, then they must obtain it by sheer faith.
But there is a danger to substituting faith for skill.
For even if a person has a mediocre amount of skill they can be satisfied with their self-worth and live contently.
But no amount of substitute in the form of faith will be enough to give that same person the satisfaction, and self-worth, for them to live contently.
Also, when people do not have sufficient self-worth they feel week. And when people feel week they show it with hatred, rudeness, intolerance, and suspicion.
All You Need To Know
“In times of change, learners inherit the earth, while the learned find themselves beautifully equipped to deal with a world that no longer exists.” – Eric Hoffer from the ‘Ordeal Of Change’
There are still lots of opportunities in this world, some might argue more than ever before. So the only thing that can be stopping you from taking advantage of those opportunities is the confidence in your skill level.
If you’re not confident that your presentation skills are enough, then do something about it before you’re too late.
And of course I would be remiss in my responsibilities as an NLP Trainer, if I did not recommend our NLP Training Online as the prime tool, not only to gain confidence but for seeing opportunities that other’s do not.
