Finally, The Secret To Making Your Unconscious Mind Work For YOU!
Last post I promised that this week’s post would be worth the wait, as I’m going to tell you how you can:
- Use a simple house-hold device to get answers
- Get a better night’s sleep
- Solve problems while you’re sleeping
I’m going to save number one for last as I consider that to be most important. So let’s start with number three first and it can help explain some things in the other two.
You May Glaze Over Here
According to Dr. Wilder Penfield the famous Canadian neurosurgeon, you’re subconscious, or Unconscious mind as we call it is a warehouse of everything you’ve ever seen, heard, smelled, felt or tasted.
To explain briefly what he meant, if you saw two trees today you unconscious has cataloged every leaf, twig, branch, bug and every color associated with everything within those two trees as well as textures and smells associated with where you were, etc.
Now considering that happens every moment of our waking day, every day of our lives, there is an impossible amount of information being stored away. (see why you can’t remember things sometimes – Whew!!)
This is all done with minute detail and stored in your memory. But this amount of information is too overwhelming for us so our brain has a limiting system in place to help us keep our sanity.

Here’s How You Can Use It
Your unconscious mind acts as the genie in Aladdin’s Lamp. Your wish is its command!
Here’s an example of how you have used it in the past. You meet someone whose name you can’t remember. Embarrass and frustrated you say to yourself, “I’ll remember it after they leave.” And sure enough, you do. Which upsets you more and rather than thank your unconscious mind for doing exactly what you told it to do you curse it, or yourself, which is the same thing.
This is what you will do to work with your unconscious mind while you sleep.
Just before going to sleep say to yourself, unconscious mind please allow me to have a good night sleep and give me the answer to – INSERT YOUR QUESTION – in the morning at -PICK A SPECIFIC TIME – when I wake up.
If you don’t follow the instructions you will get the typical problem of waking up and not getting back to sleep as you conscious mind tries in vain to answer an unconscious problem.

I don’t mean to be rude, but if you have ever found yourself wide awake in the middle of the night not being able to easily get back to sleep, you know how frustratingly stressful this quickly becomes.
Stressful enough for me to be straight-forward and tell you to pay attention because this is how you can stop it … Shut Up!
You must shut up because you’re talking yourself awake all night. Your conscious mind is trying to solve an unconscious problem – see the last section – and you conscious talking is literally keeping you awake all night.
Now if you are more auditory based it will be easier for you to turn down the volume or turn off your internal talk. But that doesn’t mean you can’t learn to do it if you are a Visual or Kinaesthetic based person. (all covered in our NLP Training Online)
Of course, if you did the process in the first section of asking your unconscious mind to solve the problem, you should not be woken by your conscious mind in the first place.
Finally Making Decisions You Can Trust!
At times you’ve had serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or did the right thing.
If it has happened more than once or you’re actually known to have made bad decisions in the past, that negatively affected yourself and others, and that is now part of a bigger problem. This has now become an unconscious psychological problem call a Condition Response, or Anchor in NLP terms.

What is important to know is getting your unconscious mind working for you is tantamount to breaking the Condition Response cycle.
So if you want sto top worrying and feeling the insecurity of doubt, then start communication with, and trusting your unconscious mind.

What is the simple house-hold device that will help you communicate with your unconscious mind? A common bathroom sink plug – Don’t Laugh …
I could have sold you on some expensive crystal pendulum, like I use, un-necessarily. But in reality, the bathroom sink plug, the little rubber plug on a chain, works just as well. Actually, anything that is heavy enough and has a string or chain attached will work.
And just for the record, a pendulum works with your internal electrical Nervous System, although many pendulum users try to make it sound very mystical. So, grab you bathroom sink plug, spool of string or fancy store bought pendulum and get communicating with your unconscious mind.
