NLP Reframing: Changing How You See The World You Live In

When we talk about NLP Reframing, we are not talking about rebuilding your house, well, at least not literally. Still, it’s an excellent analogy for rebuilding your “internal house.”

What the NLP Technique of Reframing gives you is more control over your thoughts, which in turn controls your behaviour. And your behaviours then deliver your outcomes. Better thoughts equal better outcomes.

All the thoughts and experiences you have had in your life up to this point end up making you who you are today. However, how you think about things today will be dependent upon your past life experiences and the beliefs you have developed from those experiences.

Those past thoughts and beliefs may not be the best choice for your world today. In fact, they may be creating a world that’s less than outstanding for you.

NLP Reframing helps you take your same life experiences and beliefs and change your thinking. By seeing your experiences in a different frame, you can rebuild your thoughts and create new understandings and beliefs that will allow you to choose different behaviours, which will deliver different outcomes.

And the best part is, once you have reframed your way of looking at life, the new thoughts and beliefs will be as automatic to you as the old ones used to be.

Reframing is the easiest way to help others achieve their successful outcomes. If you are a financial advisor, negotiator, sales professional, therapist, educator, or parent, this should be great news for you.

How To Use NLP Reframing To Free Up Your Stuck Thinking

Most stuck thinking is from lack of choice. Meaning, you only have one way to think about what you’re thinking about that keeps you stuck.

Reframing adds more choice to your thinking.

Why is that important?

Because one choice is no choice, when you have two choices, you have a dilemma. It’s when you have three or more choices that you start to have a real choice.

Can you think of something in your life where you seem to have only one choice?

How differently would you feel if suddenly you had three choices instead of just one? Do you think you would still choose to do the same thing?

Think of your life as a big future picture, and, depending on the frame you put around it, you can make it mediocre, excellent or outstanding. Would you pick mediocre? I don’t think so.

Well, that’s the choice you have when you learn how to reframe with NLP.
