3 Ways To Make Your Life Easier Using This Simple Technique

It’s late at night, and you head for the kitchen. Opening the cupboard door, there radiating like a tracker beam locked on your eyeballs, is a glowing bag of potato chips.

And there goes any hopes of losing weight, promises of self-control, and feelings of self-respect. Now replaced by lies to self that tomorrow will be different.

“There must be some kind of way out of here,
” Said the joker to the thief,
“There’s too much confusion, I can’t get no relief.

So let me cut through the confusion and help you get your eating habits under control, your self-control in hand and rebuild your self-respect. All with just one simple technique.

Here’s What’s Going On

Without being too technical, your brain is a crafty little glob, and it has a way of coding things to make differences. What do I mean by that? Well, it makes some things stand out more than others, so they are noticed more.

You see, we all make internal images in our mind, hear internal sounds, and have inner feelings. That’s a given. Although some people may or may not notice they do this, it’s still going on.
And, some people have a dominant area, meaning some people see images more while others may be sound or feeling orientated. (All covered explicitly in our NLP Training Online)

The things that have more emotional attachment are coded bigger, brighter and closer in view visually, or louder and clearer for the sounds and more intense in feeling for the feeling side.

How It Affects You

This coding system that your brain uses is ultra-effective in getting you to pay attention.

In a normal situation, big things can be more dangerous than small things. Think bear and rabbit. Louder sounds scarier than softer ones. Think lion and a house cat. And more intense feeling need more attention to self. Think toothache and paper cut.

But, what about the potato chips, they’re not big and scary?

Different emotional state.

Potato chips give you pleasure (as well as weight gain), so they take on a big picture, usually shiny and bright, with a strong internal sound that says – EAT ME! And there are also those great inner feelings that are … Ooooh Soooooo Good!

So, What’s The Technique?

Well, obviously, the technique involves changing your internal pictures, sounds, and feelings. And I confess it will take some practice to do it on your own without having taken our NLP Training Online, but it is doable.

And the good thing is you can practice anywhere, well, except when you’re driving as it does take your full attention.

So, to use the bag of potato chips as an example, start experimenting by moving your internal visual image to different locations.

And you can make any sounds you may hear when thinking of the potato chips softer or lower in sound.

And, most likely the biggest culprit, your internal feelings, need to be diminished for sure, so swap them out with the feeling you get when you think of something you don’t like. For me, it’s Brussel sprouts … ugggh.
